* Make this the coinosv3-server repo: the services, with coinosv3 pinnedAdam Soltys9 days16-155/+377
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Carved out of coinosv3 (names, feed, nwcpush, blossom, vmedia, bridge and their tests, with history). The shared wallet code they import (src/ark, noffer, bolt12, popular-feed) now comes from a coinosv3 submodule pinned at 082fc2e, the commit the services have actually run on, so moving here changes no behaviour; bumping it is its own commit. The two text helpers translation uses arrived on the server later than that commit and are vendored under names/vendor at the versions deployed, until the pin moves past them. Root package.json pins the npm versions installed on the server. compose.yml runs names, nwcpush and blossom from this checkout (read-only) with configs and state under $STATE, outside the repo, and pins the Bun image. * names: refuse a corrupt state file; flush before replacing itAdam Soltys9 days1-2/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | The loader treated any read or parse error as a fresh registrar and started with no names, then persisted that empty state over the real one. A crash can leave the state file truncated, because persist() renamed the new file into place without flushing it. Now a missing file is a fresh start, an unreadable one stops startup, and persist() fsyncs the file and its directory around the rename. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
* bridge/ln: attach the socket error handler before connectingAdam Soltys9 days1-2/+6
| | | | | | | | createConnection on a stale socket path threw ENOENT before a listener was attached and killed the process. Create the Socket, attach .on('error'), then connect. This was patched on the server and never committed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
* names: bring in the registrar as it ran on csAdam Soltys9 days1-8/+79
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The deployed registrar carried changes made directly on the server between Oct 10 and Oct 14 that never reached the repo: - forward() delivers to the same key's current name when the paid name was released in the meantime (a v2 migration swaps its throwaway npub name for the real one seconds after a payment can settle) - "nowhere to send" throws, so the payout stays queued instead of dropping - the forwarder float merges small coins (consolidateFloat) before a send hits the input cap - floatUpkeep skips coins already past expiry, which the server's sweeper has taken and whose refresh never settles Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
* Feed: a picture from a host that won't hand over its bytes paints from a ↵Adam Soltys14 days2-14/+113
| | | | | | server-made copy. The app shrinks a post's photo to the column's size itself (an 1100px copy made once, kept on disk) — but only when the host allows CORS; one that doesn't (primal's blossom, nostrcheck, most personal sites) left the <img> painting the original, and a 9528×6328 camera file froze a wheel scroll for 400 ms on its texture upload. vmedia now has /vmedia/pic.webp?s=col|tile&u=<picture>: the picture at 1100px wide (or a 360px square of its middle for the grid), made with libvips (shrink-on-load, so the original is never decoded whole; turned the way its EXIF says; alpha kept; stripped) as WebP, cached on disk and at the CDN for everyone. The usual guards: https on public addresses only, each redirect's host checked, 60 MB cap, the bytes sniffed (a GIF is refused — its copy would be a still), a few jobs at a time, 600 new copies per address per hour, an 8 GB cache. The client asks the server for the column copy when the host is known to keep its bytes (or has just refused, or there's no worker to make one here), keeps it in the same cache as the copies it makes, and takes the server's tile for the grid the same way; a picture the server has no copy for paints as before. The container gets libvips-tools (Dockerfile). tools/pic-proxy-test.js (canned server answers). Server measured on cs: a 3072×4608 photo in 0.5 s the first time, a millisecond after; feed-stability's two pre-existing asserts still fail on 491904e. * Translation: into the phone's language, and DeepL with your own key. ↵Adam Soltys2026-10-103-3/+84
| | | | | | | isolabellart saw the Translate button but nothing became Italian: the target was the app's language, coinos has no Italian UI (so it ran in English), and the language guess didn't know Italian. Posts now translate into the reader's choice (Settings → Nostr → Translation, any of 31 languages), else the phone's language when the app has no UI for it, else the app's; the guess knows Italian, Dutch and Polish. And, as Jumble offers: a DeepL API key of your own, kept on the device and sent per request as x-deepl-key — the registrar passes it to DeepL (api-free for ":fx" keys; DeepL refuses browsers) and never stores or logs it; a refused key or used-up quota says so once. names: translateDeepl (prose only, links/tags kept, detected source back, 401/402/422 statuses), CORS allows the header. Deployed to cs names. tools/translate-italian-test.js, tools/deepl-translate.test.js. * Names: letters and numbers only, 2–24 — coinos v2's rule. The registrar ↵Adam Soltys2026-10-091-2/+11
| | | | | | | took a-z, 0-9 and . _ - (1–30), so bitcoin-education and a dozen others got through. A NEW claim must now match /^[a-z0-9]{2,24}$/ (v2's /^[\p{L}\p{N}]{2,24}$/u, held to ASCII since a name is a DNS label); a name already held (19 with . _ -, plus "f" and "g") is grandfathered — its owner can still update it — as are v2 migrations carrying their own name and npub-shaped defaults. /name/<n> answers invalid: true for a free name that breaks the rule; the claim form says "Letters and numbers only" as it's typed, and the suggested name from a nostr profile is stripped to letters and digits. * Video stills: past a black opening. vmedia took its still at half a second, ↵Adam Soltys2026-10-091-7/+29
| | | | | | | and a clip that fades in from black (7 of the 68 made in three hours) gave a black tile. Each frame's mean brightness now comes out of ffmpeg (signalstats YAVG on pipe:2 — /dev/stderr can't be opened from a Bun-spawned pipe), and a dark one sends it further in (2, 5, 10, 20, 40 s) for the first bright frame; a clip dark all the way through (a night scene, a boot screen) gets its brightest frame with the levels stretched (normalize). Stills are made again under a new key and URL (v=4), so neither the server's nor the CDN's black copies are served. The frame grab still runs for a clip the server had no picture for. A known-heavy clip wears its size badge over the still. vmedia makes 8 stills at once (was 4). tools/video-tile-poster-test.js Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Vps2H27rhbG9ZqseGfMrc3

| | | | | | | translation in brackets after it — "#総合部絵チャ (…)" — the tag itself kept as the link it is. A post that is only such hashtags now counts as foreign (it was judged by its prose alone, of which it has none, so nothing ever offered to translate it), and ⋯ → Translate on a post with no words says so instead of "already in your language". The registrar's language detection reads the glossed tags too; lang-guess's scriptOf takes a minimum (a two-character tag has a script too). The browser's on-device Translator does it when the language pair is already installed (desktop Chrome); otherwise the registrar's new POST /translate (names/translate.js): a cached, 4-at-a-time front for a LibreTranslate container on cs (names/compose-libretranslate.yml, v1.9.6, 32 languages; none for sw/mr/ta/te, so those readers get no offer). Links, nostr: mentions, :emoji:, #tags and long codes are never sent to the model — only the prose between them, batched in one call (src/translate-split.js, shared). Translations are remembered (coinos-translations, 300). tools/translate-test.js Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Vps2H27rhbG9ZqseGfMrc3

* Shared note links open on the post, with names and facesAdam Soltys2026-10-012-3/+210
| | | | | | | | | | | | The server renders /nevent1 and /note1 pages with the thread inlined (post, root, replies, kind 0s) and Open Graph tags; the client seeds its thread cache from it and opens the thread on the first paint. Without it, a pending frame holds the screen instead of the front door. Profile lookups ask our relays and the profile indexes at once, streamed, instead of one after the other behind five-second waits. A thread opened straight from a link has no Back button. * Zaps and reactions get their own notification switches.Adam Soltys2026-10-011-6/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | | The notifier now watches kind-7 reactions p-tagged at the user (opt-in by an explicit flag, so older apps that can't word them stay quiet) and sends zap receipts as 'zap' to apps that report the category, 'payment' to older ones. Coinos zap receipts carry their amount into the push. The service worker names the reactor when it knows them and stays quiet for a muted one. | | | | | | | | | | | | A plain link becomes an Open Graph card: picture, title, a line, the site. The registrar fetches the page on the reader's behalf (names/preview.js, GET /preview?url=): only public hosts, at most half a megabyte of HTML, cached a day. The client warms the card with the rest of the post so the row arrives whole, keeps a few hundred cards across sessions, and leaves a page with nothing to say as a bare link. | | | | | | | | | | | | | The push notifier now watches kind 1 for the user's pubkey beside DMs and zap receipts, and pushes who, what, and an excerpt. The worker shows "New reply to your post" or "You were mentioned" with the text, and a tap lands in the Notifications list — as ?open=notifs when a window has to be opened, or as a worker message when one already is. It has its own switch, "Replies and mentions on nostr", in Settings → Notifications, on by default like payments and DMs. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01QYJfZ4A1TDCEY4Foq3CApR
* One device pays a zap, whichever of them heard it first.Adam Soltys2026-09-141-5/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Every awake device of a wallet hears a wallet-connect pay request within the same second, and the per-tab lock only reaches one browser profile: two profiles on one laptop each locked an HTLC for the same 21-sat zap. The push notifier now hands each pay request to the first device that claims it; a device that loses the claim stands down silently, and a device that cannot reach the notifier answers as before so nobody goes quiet over a hiccup. The worker path claims the same way. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01QYJfZ4A1TDCEY4Foq3CApR
* UnifiedPush: reach a phone that has no Google in it.Adam Soltys2026-09-121-3/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Web push on Android is Firebase's, so a phone without Google Play Services — GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, any de-Googled Android — cannot be woken by a web app at all. UnifiedPush is the way that doesn't involve Google: the user runs a distributor (ntfy and friends), apps ask it for an endpoint, and whoever wants to reach the device POSTs to that endpoint. THE WRAPPER speaks the protocol directly — four broadcasts each way, so it pulls in no library; an APK this small has no business growing a Kotlin runtime for eight intents. It asks the distributor on every launch (the call is idempotent, and it's how a distributor installed later gets noticed), raises a notification when a message arrives, and acknowledges it so the distributor stops resending. THE ENDPOINT reaches the web app on the launch URL as ?up=, the same road payment intents already travel — because the distributor talks to the app and only the web app knows which pubkeys are worth watching. It's registered with the notifier in place of a browser subscription, for notifications and for NWC alike, and needs neither permission nor push service. THE NOTIFIER sends to either kind: one deliver() that POSTs the payload to a UnifiedPush endpoint, or hands it to web-push as before. Same payloads, same 404/410 pruning. The endpoint is the only secret there, so it's never logged in full. Verified: a POST to a live ntfy endpoint delivers the payload byte for byte, so the app parses exactly what the notifier sent; the APK builds, carries the receiver, and is signed with the certificate assetlinks already pins (v1.6). tools/unifiedpush-test.js drives a browser with no push service and checks the endpoint is taken off the URL, kept, and registered. Honest about the limit: a UnifiedPush message wakes the ANDROID app, not Chrome's service worker, and the wallet's keys live in the browser's storage where nothing here can reach them. So a zap request arrives as a notification you tap, and the wallet answers when it opens — one tap instead of none. Automatic answering while closed still needs a browser with a push service. * names: a migration grant unlocks a reserved legacy name.Adam Soltys2026-09-101-7/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Migrating the coinos.io house account `coinos` swept its balance fine, then every claim bounced with "name is reserved": the reserved-word check ran before the migration grant was consulted. A reserved word that is also a real coinos.io account can only reach the registrar through a migration, whose grant is the old account's authenticated say-so — so the grant now clears the reserved check too. Reserved names without a grant stay reserved. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Nw1Dijik1tLVKRM1WkU7xE
* Sync: oversized domains ride Blossom blobs — plus a coinos-hosted server.Adam Soltys2026-09-092-0/+304
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A wallet with deep Ark coins had a 633KB ark sync domain against the relay's 40KB budget: the publish silently failed forever, the slot stayed stale, and every boot retried. Relays can't carry it (64KB event cap) and neither can NIP-44 (64KB plaintext), so a domain over budget now goes to Blossom (nostr blob storage, BUD-01/02/06/11/12): sealed into an envelope ("CSB1" + xchacha20poly1305 under an HKDF of the wallet's NIP-44 self-key), uploaded to the configured servers, and the kind-30078 event carries only { blob: { sha256, size, servers } }. Readers resolve pointers from their own outbox copy first, else from the pointer's servers plus the configured list, hash-verified. Small domains are unchanged. The outbox uploads before it publishes (upload/delete authorizations are kind-24242 events signed at enqueue time, so delivery after logout still holds no key), keeps a local copy for recovery, and deletes superseded blobs once the replacement is acknowledged. Servers: Settings → Nostr → Sync storage (any Blossom server; a typed list is kept), else the user's BUD-03 list (kind 10063) with the coinos server as mirror, else blossom.coinos.io. blossom/server.js is that default: a Bun Blossom server that stores ONLY these envelopes (magic check → 415 for anything else), serves every blob as an octet-stream attachment with nosniff, requires signed auth for upload/list/delete, and enforces per-blob size, per-key quota (oldest evicted), rate limits, a disk cap and unused-blob expiry — it cannot serve as a file host. tools/sync-blob-test.js spawns it and covers the policy, the outbox flow and a fresh device resolving a pointer. * Heal dead push subscriptions from a VAPID key rotation — the reason ↵Adam Soltys2026-09-051-2/+5
| | | | | | | notifications went silent. registerPush reused whatever getSubscription() returned and only ever subscribed fresh when there was none; a subscription made against an OLD VAPID key can never receive a push (the notifier's send fails with a permanent 403, which was never pruned, and the client kept re-registering the same dead endpoint). Now the client fetches the current VAPID key first and, when an existing subscription's applicationServerKey doesn't match, unsubscribes and re-subscribes against the current key — so a device self-heals on next open. And the notifier prunes 403 endpoints alongside 404/410. * Payment push notifications are scoped to their network, so a mainnet payment ↵Adam Soltys2026-09-052-2/+17

The same seed derives the same nostr pubkey on mainnet and staging, so both PWAs registered push under one pubkey and the notifier — matching only by pubkey — fanned every mainnet payment out to the staging subscription too; tapping it opened staging.coinos.io. Now the client stamps its network on the push registration (pushWatch net: getNetwork()), the registrar declares its own network on the /notify call (CFG.forwarder.network), and nwcpush delivers a payment only to registrations whose net matches — with a rollout-safe fallback: a device that hasn't re-registered yet (net=null) still gets the push, and a caller that omits net still reaches everyone, so nobody goes dark mid-deploy. * Point of sale: a coinos-pos terminal works against a nameAdam Soltys2026-09-051-2/+209
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Registrar: the owner mints a bearer POS token from Settings (NIP-98 POST /pos/token, DELETE revokes; /admin/pos/token for operators). With it the terminal gets /pos/me, rings up sales at /pos/invoice (fiat via coinos.io rates, or sats), reads /pos/payments, and holds a websocket at /pos/ws that gets a payment message when the sale settles. Sales are always minted on our node so the settle loop sees them and the ordinary forward path delivers the sats to the name's ark address. The name's lnurlp pins the newest unpaid sale under five minutes old — coinos.io's /p/<name> rule — so an NFC tap or a scan pays exactly that invoice. Wallet: a "Point of sale" section on the names card creates, copies and revokes tokens. | | | | | | | the Ark mark: a faucet paying the LN address settles on the registrar's CLN and arrives as an anonymous arkoor from the float (the mailbox protocol carries no memo), so the wallet genuinely couldn't tell the rail. The registrar now records a receipt {sat, hash, ts} per LN settlement it forwards via the float (7-day ring per name) and serves them at GET /lnreceipts (NIP-98, owner/manager only — it's a feed of incoming amounts); the wallet fetches them through the names feature (which holds the signer) and fuzzy-matches receive movements by exact amount + delivery within ±3 min, stamping viaLn + the payment hash so a receipt can never claim a second row. History row and detail view show ⚡ for viaLn receives; the tag rides the sync snapshot to other devices via merge enrichment. viaClink deliveries need none of this — the wallet's own LN-receive flow already tags itself. | | | | | | | self-custodial edition: a name's owner registers an https URL (NIP-98, owner or manager key) and every Lightning settlement for that name POSTs {type, address, amount, hash, preimage, memo, secret} there, firing on settlement independent of the ark delivery. URLs are vetted hard (https only, no credentials, every resolved address must be public unicast — RFC1918/CGNAT/loopback/link-local refused, re-checked before every delivery), retries back off 30s/5m/30m from a persisted queue, and GET /webhook shows the config plus the last delivery's outcome. Paste an lno1 or resolve a name whose record carries one and the existing HTLC pay flow carries it (captaind's Invoice enum takes lni strings natively); a name's owner may now publish their OWN node's offer in their DNS record, retiring the registrar's stand-in — senders fetch invoices straight from their node and no coinos service ever touches the money.
