Pinguimdarelva's avatar still flashed, and the reason was one I'd have kept
guessing at: from the live browser, `new Image()` with crossOrigin set FAILS
for that picture, while `fetch(url, {mode:'cors', cache:'reload'})` for the
very same URL returns 200. The host allows us perfectly well.
The picture sits behind a 302, and the avatar is painted as an ordinary
background-image — so the bytes are already in the HTTP cache under the
redirect's target as a no-CORS entry, and the crossOrigin <img> reuses that
entry and fails the CORS check. The image loads, the CORS copy "errors", and
the face gets written off.
So the thumbnailer fetches the bytes itself and draws from a blob: no
crossOrigin element, no cache collision, and an untainted canvas without
depending on the element's CORS bookkeeping. With no taint left to detect,
failures no longer split into hard and soft — each one just backs off, from
six hours up to a fortnight, so a host that truly won't have us is asked
twice a month instead of every boot.
The test now serves a picture behind a redirect and loads it plainly before
thumbnailing it, which is the shape that broke; it fails on the old code.

Pinguimdarelva's picture is 52KB on a CDN that answers in 700ms one minute
and times out the next — I measured both from this machine. The thumbnail
attempt hit one of the bad minutes, and `thumbFail` was written as if the
host had refused us: never retried, so that avatar went back to fetching the
original on every boot.
Only a tainted canvas is a real refusal (no CORS header, nothing to be done),
and that is remembered for good. Everything else — a load error, or a host
that won't answer inside twenty seconds — is stamped with the time and tried
again in six hours. The timeout also frees the slot: three thumbnails run at
a time, and a hanging image used to hold one of them indefinitely.
And zap tallies are remembered between sessions. They were asked of the
relays on every boot, which takes seconds, so a room full of zapped messages
painted bare and filled in afterwards. The totals (never the receipts) are
kept locally and painted straight away; the moment the relays answer for a
message, their word replaces it — so a tally that changed, or a receipt that
was deleted, still settles correctly. Opening a DM thread doesn't forget what
the chat had learned, and the store is capped at 400.

The avatar delay left on the messages page wasn't the image at all. A person
with no cached profile got an empty circle until a relay answered — and the
one that stayed blank longest (npub1k6f89cg, in the live cache) is never
cached at all: persistProfile deliberately refuses to write a row with no
name and no picture, so every boot re-asked the relays and every boot sat
blank for seconds. When it finally arrived it was a punk, which is why it
looked like slow art rather than a slow lookup.
The punk is derived from the pubkey alone, so it can be drawn in the first
frame. It's already the right answer for everyone with no picture, and for a
coinos user who kept the default it IS their published picture — same
formula, same file. A real photo replaces it when it lands. A name lookup in
flight still gets the quiet circle: a picture is expected there, and punk art
must not flash in front of it.
Also: the punk rewrite now recognises the bare relative path a few older
profiles carry, not just the absolute URL.

The art is 240x240 (20KB each, 1.5MB for the set) because that's what a punk
published as someone's nostr picture should be — but the circles the app
draws are 18 to 64px, so a new wallet with nothing cached was fetching eight
times the pixels it could show, one request per face.
punks-sm carries a 128px copy of each: 4KB instead of 20KB, indistinguishable
at 64px. Small circles and the wizard's picker tiles load those; only the 64px
profile avatar and the value the wizard publishes stay full-size.
The bigger win is that a punk picture is our own art wherever it turns up.
Everyone who keeps the default publishes v3.coinos.io/punks/N.webp as their
nostr picture, so those faces now paint straight off disk at the size being
drawn — no request, no thumbnail to make, and no broken circle when the
legacy coinos.io copies 502 (which they do for a third of the set).

A profile picture is whatever its owner uploaded, and that is very often the
full-size original. Measured against the faces this wallet had cached: one
avatar is a 4,988,208-byte JPEG, another 3,901,966 — megabytes fetched and
decoded to paint a 30px circle. That is the second of blank circles on the
messages page after a refresh, and it repeats every time the upstream cache
header expires.
So the first time we see a picture we downscale it once (96px, webp) and keep
the thumbnail beside the profile in localStorage, which is read synchronously
at boot. Small avatars then paint from it alone and never ask the network for
the original again; the 64px profile avatar layers them, so the thumbnail
shows instantly while the full-size original loads over the top.
Reading the pixels needs CORS — most avatar hosts allow it (6 of the 9 here),
and the ones that don't are remembered as failures rather than retried every
boot. A refresh of the profile carries the thumbnail across when the picture
hasn't changed. Thumbnails live on a 180k budget, oldest face first, and Data
Saver opts out of making them at all.
tools/avatar-thumb-test.js watches a wallet meet a large cross-origin picture
and checks the next boot fetches no picture at all.

The Spending balance and its history are read from the ark store, which is
IndexedDB: synchronous to read, asynchronous to OPEN. Boot didn't wait for
it, so every refresh painted a Spending wallet with nothing in it — no
balance, no history — and filled it in a beat later. On a phone that second
paint arrived as a change rather than an arrival: the balance counted itself
up from 0 in green, wearing the animation a received payment gets.
Boot now waits for the store (capped at 800ms — a store that won't open must
not hold the app hostage), and the shell stays up a moment longer instead of
a wrong balance going up. If the store does land past the cap, initArk
retries on it — so a Spending wallet whose state arrived late also connects,
which it previously didn't until something else happened to kick it — and
that catch-up paint forgets the last amounts first, so it reads as state
arriving rather than money.
Also: the zap tally chip loses its underline. In chat the chip is a reaction
chip too, and .chat-react.on still rings it; on a post row the underline just
read as an artifact.
tools/boot-balance-test.js pins the ordering, with IndexedDB slowed so it
can't pass by luck.

The optimistic amount is supposed to stand down when the real receipt is
counted, and it did — but only by deleting itself. An ark zap publishes its
own receipt, which comes back over the live subscription BEFORE the send
call resolves, so the flow's success report arrived second and re-created
the amount on top of the receipt already in the total. 21 paid, 42 shown.
The pending entry now has a state (flying / paid / void) instead of a
deletion: our receipt voids it, and a settle arriving afterwards can't
resurrect it. A receipt older than the tap — the backlog the first paint
fetches for a message zapped before — doesn't void anything, so zapping the
same message twice still counts both.

A zap took a few seconds to pay and its public receipt trailed that by
seconds more, so the tally chip appeared long after the tap — the tap looked
ignored, and the only way to tell it had worked was the toast.
Now the chip appears on the tap carrying your amount, breathing while the
payment is in flight; it goes solid the moment the payment lands, and steps
aside when the real receipt arrives (which is also how it avoids counting
your zap twice). The ark and Lightning one-tap flows report their outcome
back — a failure, or a fallback into the form, takes the chip straight off
again rather than leaving it pulsing. An unreported zap gives up after 45s.
A zap sent from the form reports too, so the tally shows it right away
instead of waiting on a relay. Reduced-motion gets a dimmed chip, no pulse.

Two accounts could show the same name and avatar: the identity list read a
key stamped onto the account record, and the stamp was taken during the gap
in a wallet switch where the new account is already loaded and saved but the
features haven't re-inited — so the PREVIOUS account's signer was still
answering "who are you". The live signer now re-checks on every read that it
still belongs to the open wallet, not just at init(); and the switcher reads
each account's own persisted login (or its seed's nostr key) instead of the
stamped mirror, so a record stamped wrong before this still lists right.
The Spending renewal warning belonged to the wallet that computed it and
stayed on screen after switching — the old wallet's amount and deadline over
the new wallet's balance, with a 30-minute throttle keeping it there. It now
resets with the ark manager, and the next connect re-decides.

Chat and DM message sheets grow a ⚡ Zap item (not on your own messages),
riding the same one-tap flow as a post zap — Ark first, Lightning fallback,
the amount remembered from the first time. A chat message is a rumor with an
id like any event, so the zap e-tags that id; the public receipt reveals
nothing but the id.
Every post row, chat bubble and DM shows how much it's been zapped as a
little amber bolt + sats chip (1.2k / 21k / 1.5M), fed by the public receipts
that e-tag it: NIP-57 kind 9735 (amount from the bolt11, the zap request's
amount as fallback) and coinos' own Ark receipt, kind 9737 (network-checked).
Summed per id, deduped by receipt; underlined when one of ours is in it.
Ids are asked once each (batched per paint, 150 per REQ), and ONE live
subscription follows the ~200 ids most recently on screen so a zap landing
while you watch — yours included, rechecked at 4/12/30s — shows up without
a reload. The tally chip is itself a zap button on others' messages.

The Accounts screen is about a seed's Spending/Savings faces — its rows say
nothing about WHO each pair belongs to, so a "Sign into another account"
button there was the wrong door. It's gone from there. On your own profile,
"Sign into another account" now opens a switcher: every identity already
signed in on this device as an avatar + name row (one per seed, wearing the
nostr key its header avatar shows — the login key when there is one, else
the seed's own; remembered on the account and in the durable directory by
xpub, so vault-restored accounts have a face too), tap to switch with nothing
logged out, plus "Sign into a new account" for the additive sign-in doors.
With no other identity on the device the button goes straight to those doors.

The additive sign-in door lived only at the foot of the Accounts screen; the
profile page — where people actually go looking for a way out of the current
identity — offered just Log out. Now it carries the same button, via a shared
signInAnother action on the feature ctx (clears the profile/chat state so the
unlock screen's Back lands on the wallet, and the new identity doesn't open
onto the old identity's profile).

The new-post composer held its text in a transient ui field, so the reload
that reconnects a signer (or any reload) lost the post. It now rides the
same persisted draft store under a 'post' key: the composer reopens with
the text after a reload, posting clears it, Cancel closes the composer and
keeps the text for next time.

field), not a toast.
A pasted-nsec login is never stored, so a reload leaves the link without
a signer. The post, reply and profile-edit paths checked for an identity
by THROWING the "signer isn't connected" message, which the composer then
caught and toasted — bypassing noIdToast, whose whole job is to open the
reconnect screen where the nsec (or extension / bunker) can be re-entered.
Those paths now go through requireIdentity(): it opens the screen (or
toasts, when there's no link to reconnect) and throws a silent error the
callers don't repeat.

name through signer resume.
"Something broke" right after a coinos.io migration completed: the spend
step advances past the avatar ask by calling nextAfterAvatar(), which was
a const declared further down the same function — a temporal-dead-zone
throw for any profile that already had a picture. Now a hoisted function.
Also, the claimed-name ownership check only counted the LIVE login signer.
A bunker/Google login resumes seconds after load, so for that window a
name owned by the login identity (every migrated coinos.io name) looked
foreign, was dropped, and the wallet key's npub-shaped default took its
place — the address visibly flipped from [email protected] to npub…@coinos.io.
The stored login pubkey now counts as ours too.

A 5,000-sat send built on 2026-09-06 that the network never took sat in the
history as a pending withdrawal for four days on every device. The local
scan prunes such rows (explorer 404 / absent from address history), but
the boot-time cross-device history union re-adopted it from a stale device
slot's core snapshot, and the device then republished it — a phantom that
no explorer knows, immortal across devices.
The union now adopts a remote PENDING row only while it is under a day old
(it has to prove itself to the local scan); confirmed rows still union as
before, and the device's own rows are untouched.

localStorage held a deep wallet's ark state as ~700KB of JSON (UTF-16 on
disk), parsed on every boot and stringified on every save, and the wallet
cache blob carried a second ~600KB copy. src/ark/store.js keeps the state
in IndexedDB (db coinos-ark) with each coin's signed bytes as a Uint8Array,
fronted by an in-memory map so loadArkState/saveArkState stay synchronous:
reads return clones, writes coalesce (200ms) and flush immediately when the
page hides. Existing localStorage copies migrate on first open (newest _rev
wins) and are removed only after the IndexedDB write completed; no
IndexedDB means localStorage exactly as before. Records keep their
btc-wallet-cache:<id>:ark… keys, and a wallet wipe clears both stores via
the new per-feature wipeCache hook.
The ark cache extension is now syncOnly: it still rides the sync snapshot
(and the Blossom blob) but the local wallet cache no longer embeds it —
measured on a live wallet the cache blob went from 655KB to 10KB.
Verified in the live tab: all wallets migrated, bytes raw on disk, balance
and coin set unchanged, localStorage ark keys gone. tools/ark-store-test.js
covers migration by _rev, clone-on-read, write-behind, wipe and fallback.

read, hex still on the wire.
The live coins' signed bytes are most of a deep wallet's state — 560KB of
hex, which localStorage then holds as UTF-16. vtxoBytesToStr/FromStr in
proto.js persist base64 and read either form, _addVtxo writes base64, and
pruneArkState converts hex to base64 on every save, so an existing state
migrates itself the first time it saves. Measured on a live deep wallet:
904KB → 665KB (-26%), all 41 coins decoding identically.
The sync wire (slimArkForSync) keeps sending hex for now: a device still
on an older build would otherwise fail to decode every coin merged from a
newer one. Flip it once pre-2026-09-10 builds are gone.

relay-only sync records.
A remote-signer (bunker) wallet re-opened the relay's last ~400 gift wraps
on EVERY boot — the seen-set lived in memory only — and each wrap costs two
NIP-46 round trips with a schnorr sign+verify apiece on the client. On the
Pixel that was ~4s of a 15s pegged boot. Opened (and given-up) wrap ids are
now kept in the messages feature state, bounded to 1500 id prefixes, and
loaded before the inbox subscription.
The outbox also replaces a record whose route changed even when its digest
matches: the 874KB relay-only ark record that could never publish would
otherwise have stayed in front of its Blossom successor forever.
Verified live: the wallet's 633KB ark domain uploaded to blossom.coinos.io
and its pointer was acknowledged by relay.coinos.io on the next boot.

A wallet with deep Ark coins had a 633KB ark sync domain against the relay's
40KB budget: the publish silently failed forever, the slot stayed stale,
and every boot retried. Relays can't carry it (64KB event cap) and neither
can NIP-44 (64KB plaintext), so a domain over budget now goes to Blossom
(nostr blob storage, BUD-01/02/06/11/12): sealed into an envelope
("CSB1" + xchacha20poly1305 under an HKDF of the wallet's NIP-44 self-key),
uploaded to the configured servers, and the kind-30078 event carries only
{ blob: { sha256, size, servers } }. Readers resolve pointers from their own
outbox copy first, else from the pointer's servers plus the configured
list, hash-verified. Small domains are unchanged.
The outbox uploads before it publishes (upload/delete authorizations are
kind-24242 events signed at enqueue time, so delivery after logout still
holds no key), keeps a local copy for recovery, and deletes superseded
blobs once the replacement is acknowledged.
Servers: Settings → Nostr → Sync storage (any Blossom server; a typed list
is kept), else the user's BUD-03 list (kind 10063) with the coinos server
as mirror, else blossom.coinos.io.
blossom/server.js is that default: a Bun Blossom server that stores ONLY
these envelopes (magic check → 415 for anything else), serves every blob as
an octet-stream attachment with nosniff, requires signed auth for
upload/list/delete, and enforces per-blob size, per-key quota (oldest
evicted), rate limits, a disk cap and unused-blob expiry — it cannot serve
as a file host. tools/sync-blob-test.js spawns it and covers the policy,
the outbox flow and a fresh device resolving a pointer.

The exit-depth advisory rebuilt every spendable coin's exit chain to learn
its fee, and each hop's input taproot key ran a musig key aggregation
(several secp256k1 multiplies on uncached points). With 27 coins of depth
up to 86 (1685 hops) that was ~5.3s of solid main-thread work on every
boot, laptop and phone alike — requestIdleCallback only delayed it, and
the Android wrapper hits a full boot whenever the OS evicts the app, so
"reopening the app" froze for seconds.
A fee only needs vsizes, and a taproot output script is 34 bytes whatever
key it holds: vtxoTransactions/transitionInputTxout gain a sizeOnly mode
with stand-in keys, exit.js exposes exitTxVsizes (same chain checks, no
EC, nothing broadcastable), and the advisory + coins page use it. Verified
against the real signed chain on the live coin set: identical vsizes on
all 27 coins, 9s → 26ms.
Also: the sync-slot replay at boot merged the ark snapshot and rewrote
~1MB of state (plus re-adopting it into the manager) twice per boot even
when the union brought nothing. Compare the serialized union to what's
stored and skip the write/adopt when unchanged.

A wallet has two nostr keys — the seed-derived key and, when signed in, the login identity (extension/bunker/passkey/Google). Sending already used one identity, but RECEIVING/advertising used both: startDMs subscribed kind-1059 gift wraps on '#p' for both keys and fetched both keys' inbox relays, and ensureDmRelayList always published a kind-10050 inbox for the seed key even under a login. Result: a login wallet advertised the seed key as a SECOND DM inbox, so the welcomer greeted both keys (duplicate welcome) and a person's DMs split across two identities — one showed up as if from "another user".
Collapse to a single DM identity: new dmSubKeys() returns just the login pubkey when signed in, else the seed key, and startDMs subscribes/fetches only that; ensureDmRelayList no longer advertises the seed key when a login identity is active. isMe() and dmDecryptors() stay tolerant of both keys so already-received messages still thread and align. Not a privacy fix — nothing ever leaked to a third party (both keys were the user's own); this removes the confusing second self-identity going forward. (Existing cached DMs to the seed key on a given device don't retro-clean; a chat re-sync/forget clears them.)

_buildGiftPsbt (the v2 ephemeral-key gift builder) subtracted the funding fee — _giftFundFee returns a Number — directly from BigInt coin sums (sum - _giftFundFee(...), sum - gift - _giftFundFee(...)), which throws in JS. Any on-chain (Savings) gift creation hit it: "Split a coin first", "Lock the whole coin", and gift-all. Wrap the fee in BigInt at those sites (new fundFee() helper).
Adds tools/gift-build-test.js — the on-chain gift BUILDER had no coverage, which is how this shipped. It builds a specific-amount gift, a whole-balance gift, and the split carve-out shape (all three fee branches) against a mock wallet and asserts they produce claimable v2 codes without throwing.

A scanned/tapped/pasted payment (NFC LNURL, a pasted lnurl/lnaddr) briefly showed the recipient form — heading, recipient chip, "finding…" spinner and a Back button — while the LNURL was fetched over the network, before flowing into the pay animation + success. That resolving skeleton read as a form the user had to look at on every tap.
Now a tap carries a `tap` flag (set for the scan/paste/NFC entry points: matchSendText with !typed, lnAddressFallback, offers), and during resolve/invoice it renders a minimal centered paying shell — the same autopay-card the ark pay animation uses (spinner-ring ⚡ badge, no Back button) — so a tap goes straight spinner → animation → success with no form in between. Typed lightning addresses keep the normal form (they still resolve through the send form, not a tap). The resolved recipient name/amount arrive on the next screen; the shared card class makes the handoff into the ark autopay animation seamless.

balance (authored by codex).
Root cause of the "signed in and my balance is 0 with a huge Sent I never made": a device's snapshot carrying its change/new coins never reached the relay. The publish was a setTimeout debounce that got canceled on page-hide / logout / feature stop, so coins created by another session were never synced; a fresh device then loaded only the old (now-spent) coins, and reconcile dressed the spent inputs as a definitive "Sent" row and zeroed the balance. No funds ever moved — verified on the ASP that no such payment existed and the change coin was still spendable.
Fix (codex):
- src/sync-outbox.js (new): a durable outbox. Snapshots are signed synchronously at save time under the current identity (no cross-account mixing) and persisted already-encrypted to localStorage (no keys/plaintext in storage). Delivery retries with backoff and wakes on online/pageshow/visibilitychange/storage, surviving suspension, logout and relay outages. The last copy doubles as a local recovery source if an account cache is cleared.
- sync.js: replace the cancel-on-stop debounced publish with the outbox; fetchAllStates also merges the outbox's own (possibly-unpublished) events so a rejected publish is still recoverable locally; forgetAll clears it.
- nostr.js: factor out stateEvent() (synchronous signing) and decodeStateEvents(), shared by fetch and the outbox.
- ark.js: adoptArkSnapshot() applies a synced snapshot to a LIVE connected manager without restarting payment ceremonies (a snapshot arriving while connected previously stayed invisible until reload); the pre-handshake hold-key merges instead of overwrites; and the reconcile row is reworded from a red "Sent -N" to a neutral "History incomplete / Payment details not synced" (↻) with an explainer, since a spent input proves neither an amount nor a date.
- app.js: clearAll also clears the outbox (forgetAll).
Tests (codex): sync-outbox-test, sync-browser-test (real Chrome: relay rejects a snapshot, browser closes, reopens and retries; a second browser recovers the balance + history without reload), sync-split-test, plus build and morph smoke — all green.

into Paid.
The armed auto-pay flow flashed a "Paying" title/spinner card that then swapped title, badge and footer for the "Paid" card — too much text change and layout shift for something that completes in a moment. Now the in-flight and success states are ONE structurally identical card (autopayCard): recipient name and amount sit in their final positions the whole time, and the step to Paid is just a class flip. The badge starts as a spinner ring (the ⚡ hidden) and, on success, settles into the green success check with a pop while the ⚡ fades in; the "tap to proceed" footer occupies reserved height so nothing jumps. No "Paying" wording at all — the badge carries the state. Respects prefers-reduced-motion. Manual (non-auto) pays keep their normal Paid screen.

Reactions were a sibling of the bubble (a separate row under it), so they hung outside the message. Moved the reaction pills inside .chat-bubble, tucked under the text, across all three renderers: community channel messages, DMs, and the read-only public /chat page. The pill background and the "your reaction" highlight border now derive from the bubble's own text colour (color-mix on currentColor), so they read correctly on both the plain bubble and the accent "me" bubble. Tapping a pill stops propagation so it toggles the reaction without also opening the message action sheet.

(1) The auto-pay opt-in on a fixed-amount merchant pay was a single checkbox that stored "up to the amount you just paid". Replaced with preset budget buttons — 1000 / 5000 / 10000 / 100000 sats — so you set the ceiling deliberately; the chosen amount is what's stored on a successful pay.
(2) An NFC tap into an already-armed auto-pay briefly flashed the review/confirm card (the "Getting a quote…" spinner) before advancing to pay. startArkLnPay now decides up front — from the invoice amount and the stored budget — whether it will auto-pay, and the view renders a centered paying screen straight away (matching the paid screen's layout so it morphs cleanly into it), never showing the review. You just see paying → paid.

ephemeral-key (v2) gifts.
The old on-chain gift presigned a SIGHASH_NONE/SINGLE spend of the sender's own coin — a blank cheque whose claimer output isn't committed, so anyone (from the link, or a mempool watcher once a claim broadcast) could redirect the presigned input to their own address via a higher-fee tx. A sweeper bot had been front-running coinos gift links for ~a month; it drained a real 5000-sat gift ("claimed! → empty wallet"). Root-caused via chain + code forensics: theft tx input0 sighash = SINGLE.
New design (v2, lazy ephemeral key): the sender presigns a FULLY COMMITTED (SIGHASH_ALL) funding tx paying the gift to a throwaway key E, and puts E's private key in the link. The claimer broadcasts the funding tx, then a fresh SIGHASH_ALL sweep of E into their own wallet. Both txs commit to every output, so neither is redirectable in the mempool — redirecting needs E's key, which lives only in the link (the intended bearer property: holding the link is the only way to claim). Lazy: the funding tx isn't broadcast until claim, so an unclaimed gift moves no coins and is revoked for free by spending the still-reserved funding coin. Sender pays the funding fee (from change / the swept total); claimer pays the sweep fee (from the gift).
- gifts-wallet.js: _buildGiftPsbt now builds+signs the ephemeral funding tx (coin -> E + change, SIGHASH_ALL); new GIFT_MAGIC_V2 codec (parseLazyGift/_encodeLazyGift: [magic][E priv:32][le32 len][funding tx]); giftClaimTxs returns the {funding, sweep} pair; giftOutpoints/previewGift read E's output; isRetiredGift flags the old v1 (compact + legacy PSBT) links. Fee threaded through _selectGiftCoins/createGift/createGiftAll/createGiftFromSplit.
- gifts.js doClaim: broadcast funding (tolerating "already in mempool" from a co-holder/retry) then sweep; refuse retired v1 links with a clear message; verifyClaimWon now watches E's output.
- i18n: giftChainWarn reworded (safe bearer link funding a fresh on-chain wallet); giftRetired added.
Verified: focused crypto test confirms codec round-trip + both inputs signed SIGHASH_ALL (committed). Full regtest end-to-end: funding + sweep both relayed (child accepted spending an unconfirmed parent), mined, claimer address credited the gift. UI morph smoke passes.

(Savings) gift creation now shows a hard bearer-risk warning: the presigned input is redirectable, a sweeper bot is actively front-running shared links, so share privately and claim immediately (Spending/ark gifts are unaffected). (2) The false "success" is fixed: a broadcast returning OK was never proof WE won — a higher-fee sweep can evict our claim (the "claimed! → empty wallet" the bot produced). verifyClaimWon now polls the funding coin after broadcast and, if it settles spent by a txid that isn't ours, retracts the celebration and shows the already-taken screen. Full architectural fix (ephemeral-key gifts, non-malleable SIGHASH_ALL claim) is next

backed-up seed doesn't control. A claim into a fresh wallet reportedly paid a DIFFERENT wallet's address than the seed shown for backup (5000-sat gift claimed in incognito → funds landed at an accumulator address the given seed couldn't derive), because the destination was wallet.receive[0] — which can be a stale address a previous account in the session left behind. Now the claim derives THIS wallet's own address fresh from the active seed (never receive[0]), and a hard guard refuses to broadcast unless that address is provably derivable from the wallet whose recovery phrase is about to be handed over — any future seed/wallet divergence becomes a safe error, not lost money

steps. (1) Terminology: a payment is a "zap" only when it targets a nostr person or note (npub / note-zap with an eventId, captured as z.social at begin); paying a lightning address, LNURL or merchant now says "Pay over Lightning" / "Pay" everywhere — amount screen, review title, success screen — even when the endpoint supports zap receipts. (2) A fixed-amount payment (min==max — a POS tag, paywall, bolt card) has nothing to type, so the amount screen is skipped and the flow goes straight to the quote/review; the two perceived confirmations collapse to one. (3) Per-recipient auto-pay budget: the review offers "Auto-pay <merchant> up to N next time" (ctx.lnBudget/setLnBudget in prefs, synced), and a fixed charge within a set budget pays as soon as the quote lands — no tap. Guarded: only fixed amounts, only within the budget, only when funds cover it; over budget / no funds / quote error all fall back to the normal review, and social zaps are untouched. Verified with a driven-feature harness (fake ctx + local LNURL server): fixed skips to startLnPay with social=false/fixedSat set, a covering budget sets autopay, variable still shows the amount screen titled/buttoned "Pay"

notifications went silent. registerPush reused whatever getSubscription() returned and only ever subscribed fresh when there was none; a subscription made against an OLD VAPID key can never receive a push (the notifier's send fails with a permanent 403, which was never pruned, and the client kept re-registering the same dead endpoint). Now the client fetches the current VAPID key first and, when an existing subscription's applicationServerKey doesn't match, unsubscribes and re-subscribes against the current key — so a device self-heals on next open. And the notifier prunes 403 endpoints alongside 404/410. Deployed nwcpush on cs

stops opening the staging PWA. The same seed derives the same nostr pubkey on mainnet and staging, so both PWAs registered push under one pubkey and the notifier — matching only by pubkey — fanned every mainnet payment out to the staging subscription too; tapping it opened staging.coinos.io. Now the client stamps its network on the push registration (pushWatch net: getNetwork()), the registrar declares its own network on the /notify call (CFG.forwarder.network), and nwcpush delivers a payment only to registrations whose net matches — with a rollout-safe fallback: a device that hasn't re-registered yet (net=null) still gets the push, and a caller that omits net still reaches everyone, so nobody goes dark mid-deploy. Registrar: the owner mints a bearer POS token from Settings (NIP-98
POST /pos/token, DELETE revokes; /admin/pos/token for operators). With it
the terminal gets /pos/me, rings up sales at /pos/invoice (fiat via
coinos.io rates, or sats), reads /pos/payments, and holds a websocket at
/pos/ws that gets a payment message when the sale settles. Sales are
always minted on our node so the settle loop sees them and the ordinary
forward path delivers the sats to the name's ark address. The name's
lnurlp pins the newest unpaid sale under five minutes old — coinos.io's
/p/<name> rule — so an NFC tap or a scan pays exactly that invoice.
Wallet: a "Point of sale" section on the names card creates, copies and
revokes tokens.

text/identifier (the lightning address) replaces the bech32 blob as the payee's name and address on the amount screen, with the text/plain description as fallback. And when the address is a coinos name — whether it arrived as an lnurl's metadata, a typed [email protected], or an intent — the registrar is asked who owns it and the screen wears their AVATAR via the same profileChip the npub zap flow already uses; the pubkey also lets a NIP-57 zap request attribute to the right person. community rooms and DM threads (now sharing a chat-page class) drop their card walls and run edge to edge under 520px — and the type steps up a notch: bubbles 14→15px, names 13→14px, timestamps 11→12px. Plus: a fixed-price LNURL (minSendable == maxSendable — bolt-card top-ups, paywalls, static charges) no longer prompts for an amount — resolve() fills it and locks the field via the same fixedSat machinery fixed-amount BOLT 12 offers already use (disabled input, adjusted hints, confirm bypass)

arrives BEFORE the paying feature is ready — ark connects lazily, so zaps' matchSendText declined and the raw URI fell through into the recipient field as dead text; the intent dispatcher now keeps re-offering the text to the feature chain for up to 20s and sweeps the leftover raw text out of the recipient when a feature claims it (the zap amount screen takes over). (2) When the fallback button did render, it read "⚡ Zap lightning:lnurl1dp68gurn8ghj7…<overflow>" — zapDisplay now names targets like a human: the address when there is one, a shortened bech32 otherwise, on both the send-form button and the amount screen

Instead, wrapAvatar now leaves a STAMP per head in localStorage (art + percent geometry, size-independent, capped at 40, cleared when a head goes bare so removals can't ghost), and the core avatar factory replays stamps until hatsReady answers — from then on a null from wrapAvatar genuinely means bare. (2) Posting is OPTIMISTIC: a provisional dimmed copy tops the feed before any signing or relay round-trip (a remote signer alone can take seconds), swapped for the signed event on success and withdrawn on failure — the composer closes immediately and reopens with the text intact if publishing fails; pending rows can't be opened/replied/zapped until real.
