* A call from someone you don't follow and haven't written to no longer ↵Adam Soltys10 days1-0/+11
| | | | | | | vanishes: it doesn't ring, but it's a missed call in your conversation with them, saying it didn't ring and why, a tap away from calling back (with the app shut, the worker notes it for the app, without a notification). A muted person's still leaves nothing. A logged call no longer counts as having written to someone. * Calls ring a closed app: the notifier wakes the phone for a call offer, the ↵Adam Soltys10 days1-1/+34
| | | | | | | service worker fetches the offer's wrap, opens it with your key and rings — "Alice is calling", until answered or missed — for someone you follow or talk to; the tap opens coinos ringing with the offer it kept. A call answered from a push still connects: the caller sends its candidates again once answered. Settings → Notifications → Calls. Also: the worker's DM key mirror retries when the wallet's keys aren't there yet (it waited five minutes). * NWC: budgets reset by the day, week or month; a revoked connection says so; ↵Adam Soltys12 days1-2/+9
| | | | | | | a closed wallet keeps its coins renewed. Three asks from a subscription service builder (PullCap, by DM, 2026-10-16) testing a 1-sat-an-hour pull against a locked phone. (1) "For a monthly subscription a monthly cap would be tighter": a connection's budget now resets every day, week (Monday) or month, in UTC (nwc-budget.js: the window key stamps the spent counter; both the app and the worker count by it), chosen on the form, read on the card ("21,000 a month · 0 spent this month"); the worker now also counts what the APP spent this window (the counter rides the mirror) — it only ever counted its own log before, so a daily budget could be exceeded across the two; get_budget answers used/total/renews_at/renewal_period (NIP-47), in get_info's method list and the 13194 event. (2) "Does V3 reply with an NWC error when a connection is revoked, or just stop answering?" — it stopped: the open app dropped the request, the mirror forgot the key, the device even de-registered it from the push notifier, so a revocation looked exactly like a phone that is off. Now a revoked connection is kept for 30 days (revokedAt; the earlier date wins in a merge): still subscribed, still registered for pushes, still in the mirror flagged, and every request on it — from the app or the worker, in the asker's scheme — is answered UNAUTHORIZED "this connection was revoked"; no capability event for it; after the grace it is forgotten. (3) "If a user is only woken once a month by an NWC request, will V3 renew the coins on its own?" — only for one cycle: the app registers a standing order per coin, but a coin the worker SPENDS voids its order and the change had none until the app next opened, and a renewed coin sat unclaimed until then too. Now every NWC wake, after the answer and inside what is left of the push budget (tendRenewals, sw-nwc.js): claim orders whose round has run — and drive a claim left in flight on, since one takes several round trips and confirmations — then register an order for every coin without one (backstopMargin shared with the app; limited to the output keys the mirror carries; the mirror now also carries the output key a standing order or a claim in flight burned, which was below the window). Standing orders merge by unlock hash when the app returns (mergeScheduled, in mergeArkStates), so it adopts the worker's. tools/ark/bg-renewal-test.js on regtest, end to end: the worker registers from the mirror alone, a worker spend kills the order and the next wake covers the change, the round runs with nobody online and the next wake claims the renewed coin — and covers it in the same wake — then the app merges it all (fresh coin, right balance, the order adopted, not busy, one history row). tools/nwc-budget-test.js (windows, renews_at, counting with the worker's unabsorbed spends); nwc-sw-test.js (monthly budget over app+worker spends, last month's not counted, get_budget, UNAUTHORIZED in both schemes, the mirror's keys and flags, tending: claim/drive/register and their limits); nwc-test.js (monthly refusal naming the period, get_budget, a counter from last month reads as nothing, the revoked connection answered UNAUTHORIZED, no 13194, revokedAt in the snapshot, forgotten after 31 days, the earlier date wins); nwc-settings-ui-test.js (the form's period choice, the card's wording, Revoke dates it); ark-renewal-sync, sync-blob, sync-outbox and spending-restore tests pass. * Zaps and reactions get their own notification switches.Adam Soltys2026-10-011-3/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | The notifier now watches kind-7 reactions p-tagged at the user (opt-in by an explicit flag, so older apps that can't word them stay quiet) and sends zap receipts as 'zap' to apps that report the category, 'payment' to older ones. Coinos zap receipts carry their amount into the push. The service worker names the reactor when it knows them and stays quiet for a muted one. | | | | | | | | | Every English string, the translations, the README and the messages the code shows people now break with a full stop, a colon or a comma instead. Only console logs and the "—" placeholder for an empty cell keep the dash. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01VhUKyXKtsJ67QAFfb7QR9D
* A reply or a mention on nostr can buzz your phone.Adam Soltys2026-09-141-4/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The push notifier now watches kind 1 for the user's pubkey beside DMs and zap receipts, and pushes who, what, and an excerpt. The worker shows "New reply to your post" or "You were mentioned" with the text, and a tap lands in the Notifications list — as ?open=notifs when a window has to be opened, or as a worker message when one already is. It has its own switch, "Replies and mentions on nostr", in Settings → Notifications, on by default like payments and DMs. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01QYJfZ4A1TDCEY4Foq3CApR
* A zap answered by two tabs no longer reports as failed.Adam Soltys2026-09-141-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Every open tab of the same wallet sees every wallet-connect request. Two hidden tabs on one laptop both tried to pay the same zap: the ASP refused the second with "payment already in progress", and that error reached Amethyst half a second before the first tab's preimage. A Web Lock per request now lets one tab (or the worker) answer while the rest stay quiet, and a device that does meet "already in progress" waits for the sibling payment's outcome — relaying its preimage only if the payer never speaks — instead of shouting a failure over sats that went through. The losing side also stops writing a failed row into history for it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01QYJfZ4A1TDCEY4Foq3CApR

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A NIP-17 wrap is signed by a throwaway key with the sender sealed under two layers of nip44, so no server can filter DMs by who sent them. The notifier now ships the wrap inside the push payload and the service worker opens it locally: a message from someone you follow arrives with their name on it, a stranger's is dropped, and your own sent-copy — every DM is wrapped to the sender too — no longer notifies you about what you just typed. That needs the nostr identity key in the worker's IndexedDB, which dm-inbox.js states plainly: for a seed-derived identity it is a second copy of a key localStorage's seed already yields, and it exists only to keep strangers out. A remote signer never hands its key over, so those wallets store no secret and keep getting unfiltered notifications rather than silence. Silence is always the riskier failure here, so the rule leans the other way whenever it isn't sure: a wrap we can't open notifies, an account with no contact list published notifies (otherwise a new user's welcome message would vanish), and anyone you already have a thread with counts as known whether or not you follow them. The server-side DM cooldown drops to a second — with the device discarding pushes, a throttle there would let a discarded one swallow the message behind it. * Auto-withdraw runs with the app closed; fix the dead Back on the legacy stepAdam Soltys2026-08-031-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The service worker can't watch a relay, so it doesn't try: the app resolves the destination to something concrete (ark address, LNURL endpoint, or on-chain script) and mirrors it beside the keys the background NWC payer already uses. On a push wake-up — which is exactly when money has just landed — the worker re-checks the same gate and sends, writing the outcome back into the mirror for the app to absorb on next open. A partial on-chain forward still waits for the app, since carving an exact vtxo needs more round trips than a worker is promised. writeBgMirror now carries forward the NWC connections and offer when another caller refreshes the mirror, instead of blanking them. And onboarding's legacy step loses its Back: the wallet exists by then, so returning to the nostr question just bounced straight forward again and the link looked broken. Its copy no longer promises a rename either. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <[email protected]> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Wvj4aoeMZwA7VUGdJP9Swi
* Push notifications for payments and messages; offline Spending noticeAdam Soltys2026-08-021-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The nwcpush notifier grows a second registration kind alongside NWC: a notify watch of what it can see without keys — kind-1059 wraps p-tagged at the user (DMs, direct invites), zap receipts (9735/9737), and wraps authored by the user's community channel keys (chat). It pushes a typed nudge, throttled per device (chat bursts collapse); the service worker shows a generic notification unless a window is visible, and tapping opens the app. The names registrar reports settled lightning-address receives server-to-server (token-gated /notify), so the common payment path notifies even with no nostr event in sight. The app registers silently whenever permission is already granted and keeps the watch current as communities change; a dismissible card on the chat home offers to enable it otherwise. Ark zap receipts (9737) join the relay whitelist so the payment watch can see them. Also: the offline Spending receive pane now says you're offline and offers a one-tap switch to Savings instead of spinning forever. * Rebrand: hal → coinos v3Adam Soltys2026-08-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The app already presents as Coinos; this finishes the job in the repo: package name, README, GitHub link, code comments, and the stale locale lines that still explained the old "Hal Wallet" name (they fall back to the English tribute line). Kept: the hal-nwc-pouch IndexedDB name (an upgrade-compat identifier), the halwallet.app domain in the BIP-353 names feature (live infrastructure), and the Hal Finney tribute itself. * Coinos v3: rebrand from Hal, payment addresses move to @coinos.ioAdam Soltys2026-08-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The wallet is the next version of coinos, deployed at v3.coinos.io (same build as halwallet.app) ahead of an eventual migration of coinos.io itself. App name, manifest, notifications, and the NWC alias all say Coinos; the Hal Finney tribute stays. The registrar is multi-domain (per-domain Cloudflare zones; existing halwallet.app names keep working) and new claims default to @coinos.io. Names belonging to existing coinos users are reserved for them — the registrar checks the live coinos API before granting a claim — until the migration gives those users a way to claim their own. * Zappable offer codes and per-name Lightning offersAdam Soltys2026-08-011-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CLINK offers (noffer): every wallet gets a static offer keypair (synced across devices, first-minted wins) answering kind-21001 invoice requests — from open tabs and from the service worker while closed, which mints against the mirrored state (the record now carries chain-4 and chain-5 key windows) and raises an open-to-receive notification. Zap requests ride along and their kind-9735 receipts publish once the payment is claimed. The code is shown in the payment-address card for pasting into a Nostr profile; the notifier watches and relays kind 21001 alongside NWC. Payment names also gain a Lightning offer: the registrar creates a BOLT 12 offer per name on the node and appends lno= to the DNS record; a settle-forwarder pushes each received payment on to the name's ark destination from a small float wallet (custody window: seconds between Lightning settle and the ark send). Name resolution now runs full client-side DNSSEC validation (src/dnssec.js): binary DoH, root-anchor chain walk, RSA + ECDSA via WebCrypto — the resolver is untrusted transport, verified against live signed zones including the canonical BIP-353 test name. * Simplify: one Lightning path, one balance, fewer featuresAdam Soltys2026-08-011-4/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Dropped: silent payments (feature, wallet chains, scan worker, indexer config), Boltz submarine/reverse swaps (feature + swap.js + tools), the third-party ark swap bridge (config, client flows, settings card — the ASP's own Lightning send is the one path now), and the Consolidate coins settings action. The NWC pouch is gone with them: background answering now spends the WHOLE ark balance. The IndexedDB record mirrors the real manager state plus the chain-3 keys for its live coins and a change-index window; the worker pays through the ASP exactly like the open app, and the app folds the worker's spends, change, and key allocations back in on connect (additive merge + reconcile against the server). A leftover chain-6 pouch from the short-lived pouch era is swept home automatically using the keys stored in its own record. The stated tradeoff: same-origin script access now reaches the ark balance, not a carve-out — the ark balance is walking-around money, the on-chain wallet's keys are never mirrored, and per-connection NWC budgets remain the enforced ceiling. Bundle: 726KB -> 602KB. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <[email protected]>
* Background NWC: the worker now answers — and pays — from the pouchAdam Soltys2026-08-011-0/+49
The no-tap half of background wallet-connect. The push payload carries the (encrypted, client-signed) request event; a bundled service-worker responder (src/sw-nwc.js -> nwc-respond.js) finds the matching pouch in IndexedDB, decrypts with the connection's service key, and answers get_info/get_balance/list_transactions from pouch state. pay_invoice pays through the swap bridge with an ArkManager running over the pouch's chain-6 key window (one HTLC lock, one HTTP swap), enforcing per-payment and daily budgets from the pouch's own spend log, checking the notifier's /answered endpoint so it never double-pays or shouts over an open device, and persisting the swap before handing it off so the app can refund a crashed flight. Anything it can't handle falls back to the wake-the-user notification. The notifier grows /publish (verified 23195s only, rate-limited) as the worker's reply pipe and /answered for race avoidance. The app gains pouch funding (mailbox-less arkoor self-send whose recipient bytes we keep), emptying, spend/budget reconciliation on open, and refund recovery with the pouch's own keys.
