* Browser tests: public relays answered in the page, never reachedAdam Soltys8 days1-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | A suite run let ~90 throwaway test wallets subscribe and publish on public relays from one home address, and nos.lol and relay.damus.io banned it. tools/puppeteer.js wraps puppeteer-core: every socket to a non-local host gets an in-page stand-in relay (EVENT -> OK, REQ -> EOSE). Tests that read real content launch with { relays: 'read' } (real reads, publishes answered in place); feed-live, chat-layout and cordn-ui launch with { relays: 'live' }. LIVE_RELAYS=read|1|host,... overrides per run. profile-key-qr: measure the QR again if a repaint swapped it out. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
* Balance card gear replaces Accounts; Spending's coins live behind itAdam Soltys13 days1-6/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - The "Accounts" pill on each balance face is now a gear. It opens that face's settings: Spending leads with its coins (renewal, the co-operative move to Savings, unilateral exit), then Security (lock, change password), the recovery phrase, auto-logout; Savings adds its public key. A wallet with no nostr identity also gets sign-in and log-out there, since it has no profile page to hold them. - The exit cost is no longer said under the balance; the Spending settings state it, always, not only when coin chains run deep. - The lone Manage link under the balance is gone (the gear is the way in); warning notices that are about the coins link to the same page. - The Accounts list, Add wallet and Delete all are no longer reached from the wallet (Delete all stays behind profile > Log out > forget). - Tests follow the gear: padlock-ask, lock-wallet and account-access pass again; cooperative-exit-ui clicks the Spending gear. Lock/Unlock now sits with the other device-wide actions (log out, clear); the padlock tests reach it through the Accounts page and lose their stale "Wallets" button. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Four buttons of equal weight, and only the sign-in ones said what they did. "Get started" said nothing, so the concrete offer on that screen was Google — which is a convenience wrapped around a seed phrase, not an alternative to one. Now the page says what the wallet is before it offers a button, the way in reads "Create a new wallet" with the cost under it (a minute, twelve words), and the three sign-ins sit below a line labelled "or, if you already have an account". And the second half of the same problem: a wallet that arrives by sign-in has a recovery phrase its owner has never seen and nobody can reissue. So the wizard shows it once, right after the first login, while it still reads as setting up rather than as a warning out of nowhere. "I've written it down" is the way on; "Later" is a real answer, and the wallet then keeps one quiet line — not a modal, not dismissible, gone the moment the phrase is actually seen, here or in settings. seedSeen records that per account: creating shows the words, importing means they typed them, revealing in settings counts. Only a derived seed starts false, which is exactly the case worth asking about. tools/onboard-backup-test.js covers both halves, including that "Later" leaves a reminder that survives a reload and leads somewhere. The sixteen tests that clicked the old button by its text are updated, and it has an id now so its copy can change without breaking them again. * Offer a password the first time you lockAdam Soltys2026-08-041-0/+59
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Locking with no password locks nothing — the wallets sit on the device under an empty one and reopen with a tap. So the first deliberate lock now asks whether to set one, explaining plainly what happens if you don't. 'Not now' is a real answer, recorded, and never asked again: a wallet that nags is a wallet people stop reading. The offer rides the deliberate lock only. lock() is also where the idle timer, the last-wallet-removed path and boot-after-expiry land, and a password form appearing because you went to lunch is a different app than the one you left. Two subtleties worth naming: the offer is set after lock()'s ui reset block, which clears ui.pw and had been swallowing it; and taking the offer re-enters lock(), which now finds a password and lands on the unlock screen instead of the wallet list. * Call it 'Lock wallet', because that is what it doesAdam Soltys2026-08-031-0/+107
'Logout' promises a return to a fresh app with nothing of yours left on it. This closes the open wallet and keeps everything saved, which is why it read as interchangeable with 'Clear all' — the one that really does send you back to the beginning. Renamed via a new key rather than rewording the old one: nineteen locale tables carry their own word for 'Logout' and t() prefers the locale's value, so reusing the key would have kept the wrong meaning in every language but English. The dead key is dropped from those files; they fall back to English until translated.
